Escale Digital: High-tech City Break by Mathieu Lehanneur for JCDecaux

Winners of the call for proposals of the City of Paris is dedicated to smart furniture. This is the Escale Digital, a work for relaxation that is accessible to all. This is the work of Mathieu Lehanneur for JCDecaux. This is the first project of urban equipment developed by the French designer.

The protective shelter in vegetated roof has been designed to be as beautiful as seen from the ground as a balcony. High-tech side, the wifi is required, but the space also has a large format touch screen offers discounted services all of the city guides, information and augmented reality for tourists and visitors. The seats swivel with high performance concrete, and are equipped for their catch and shelves for book a computer.

For those wishing to experience the project, a first copy of the Escale Digital is now installed on the Rond Point des Champs-Elysées in Paris.
